Mike Deitcher, owner of Q Video, located at 1415A California St., has announced that he has acquired Leather Forever, a full service leather store. The acquisition was effective May 1.

Deitcher said he intends to continue building on the tradition started in the mid-’70s in San Francisco. Jacques “Boots” Adams moved the business to Houston in the mid-’80s and later merged Leather by Boots, another leather retail store, into the operation that exists today.

“Houston has a tradition of quality leather manufacturing for its diverse community. Gator began the tradition, Leather Forever has continued it for more than 20 years,” Deitcher said. “We plan on remaining an important part of that tradition, continuing to energize leather in Houston.”

The store specializes in custom leather clothing, as well as personal accessories, BDSM accessories and equipment and custom fabrication of customers’ designs. A full-time tailor and fabricator on the premises provides timely service at reasonable pricing, Deitcher said.
